Ged's Road trip – Birmingham to Cape Town

How easy is it to drive a small 17 year old car from Birmingham to Cape Town? Well I'm going to find out on 25th September when I do just that!

Retired nearly 13 years ago and since then been privileged to travel all over the world and meet amazing people and cultures. I'm now driving from Birmingham to Cape Town and collecting donations for the British Red Cross where I have been a volunteer for over five years. Please be as generous as you can. Thank you

Good morning from a sunny but cold Pogradec, in Albania๐Ÿ˜Ž

Reunited in Greece.

Started first time.

Now to decide where to tomorrow?

Albania, Bulgaria or Macedonia (or North Macedonia or Skopje depending what your politics are?) ๐Ÿ˜‚

4th round. Thessaloniki back to UK.

Delighted to be with my wife, Leila for this final part of the journey home. (Yes in the 1.1 Citroen 17 years old) The snow here has gone and it’s a nice sunny 4 degrees, but be interesting to see what awaits us further north. ๐Ÿ˜
